I often visit to museum once or twice in a month to check the latest happenings and to fulfill my car enthusiasm needs. Before couple of days I had a visit to see the first Arabian Super car “Lykan” of which I posted earlier, meeting one of the museum officials Mr. Zakariya Dashti – Director of Media Committee, I came to know some important facts about The Museum so thought of sharing with my readers.

The Kuwait Historical Vintage and Classic Cars Museum was established in October, 2010. The establishment of the Museum is vitally important, as it is time to show the world the rich cultural heritage and historical tradition of Kuwait especially in the historical automotive sector as Kuwait is considered the richest country in the world with that field. The main aim of establishing the museum is to documents all the automotive information and connect the current and future generation to their past and urges them to complete the journey of our great civilization.

The museum is the centre for car enthusiasts and owners as they get all the information that they need about the automotive world. It also offers many services to the community, like the technical sessions about a verity of automotive knowledge, and will also give advice and guidance to owners wanting to restore their valuable vehicles.

The museum houses many of the cars of historical, Vintage and Classic cars including a car for late Amir of Kuwait His Highness Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah which was an Imperial that he was using during his governance of Al-Ahmadi County, it also includes The Presidential Car of the late Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem AlSubah, which was a Lincoln, which was also the presidential car of the late Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Salem AlSubah. The museum also includes internationally known cars such as the Secret Agent – James Bond 007 Aston Martin DB5 car that he used in his movies, in addition to many of distinctive and historical cars.

The Museum also has a Library that has many books and references of all the different types of automotive and as well as magazines, books, periodical and Internet services.

The museum is open to the public from nine o'clock in the morning to one o'clock noon and then at five pm to eight o'clock pm, the museum is located in the Shuwaikh Industrial Area, Block One Street, forty nine street.

Last year I came across a special calendar exclusively for muscle cars of Kuwait, it was designed and photographed professionally but I didn’t know who is the guy behind this wonderful idea so I searched this calendar again this year and got it from Historical Vintage and Classic cars museum.

My first impression, amazing calendar and very well photographed including some of very clean and unique cars when it comes to classic and muscle cars.

Emad Al Ali is the man behind this idea with the support of Hamed Abu Eidan. Hats-off to Emad Al Ali, a true muscle car enthusiast and specialized in oldsmobile 442. Not forgetting the important role of the muscle car owners who have shown their support toward this great calendar by providing their cars for photography. Last but not the least our very own Ibrahim Al Awadi with his magical shots, great composition and true dedication, I must say an important part of the crew of Muscle Car Calendar 2013.

Keep it up guys and all the best for 2014.
